Hi, Everyone!

Welcome to today’s brand new Wedding Pin Wednesdays post!

Now when it comes to weddings, even though this is my industry, I can TOTALLY feel for couples who do not want to spend a small fortune on their big day. Like most Brides, I myself am frugal too and on my wedding day, it would be no different. Of course I must advise you to spend the money where it is VERY necessary, in the lasting things, like your photography, your food and anything that goes into making a great guest experience, but everything else, like top of the line decor, is icing on top of a cake (if you’re like me and LOVE icing, then keep reading)…

Even us frugal people want a beautiful wedding day that looks expensive, without spending a bunch of money. Guess what? I’m here to tell you that this goal is achievable! There are SO many ways to make your wedding look beautiful without costing a fortune, and it can be done if you are willing to put in a little time and effort into creating your dream wedding! Today’s pin is definitely perfect for that DIY Bride who wants a beautiful wedding day, without spending a fortune.

OK, tell me this carnation backdrop is not GORGEOUS! I can definitely see this being utilized so well for an outdoor or backyard ceremony. It is such a simple, beautiful decor element that can add a whole lot of interest and beauty to your wedding backdrop. Whether you want a carnation backdrop for your ceremony, or for your head table, it is sure to look gorgeous! I always love outdoor weddings that utilize natural elements to enhance the theme/look of the wedding day, and these carnations definitely do that!

Once upon a time ago I worked part time in a flower shop that belongs to my boyfriend’s Mother, and I can tell you that there are certain flowers that get bad raps, and carnations are one of them. Because of their ‘cheapness’, they are not seen as a wedding flower, but from this picture I am looking at right now, I definitely think carnations look classy enough to use in wedding decor, if they are used like this! Maybe your ceremony setup just needs that little extra pop, and you’ve maxed out your flower budget so you can’t afford huge floral arrangements – this is your solution! This DIY project is easy, inexpensive, and SO effective! Check out this blog post by a Practical Wedding that shows you just how to do this simple DIY for not very much money!

Tip: Carnations are available in SO many colours so you can be sure that you will find colours that work for your colour scheme!

Overall, this DIY is a total WIN in my books, and I hope you love it as much as I do!
